NBA Legend Scottie Pippen Sees XRP as a Potential Game-Changer
Scottie Pippen, the iconic basketball player celebrated for winning six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s, has sparked interest in the crypto community. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Pippen posed a question to his followers: “ETH vs. XRP… Who's changing the game in 2025?”
The post suggests Pippen is pondering which digital asset—Ethereum or the Ripple-affiliated XRP—will have a transformative impact in the future. While it’s unclear what inspired his growing interest in cryptocurrencies, Pippen has previously dabbled in the digital realm. In 2022, he joined the wave of celebrities exploring NFTs.
More recently, he made waves with unusual Bitcoin price predictions, claiming he received insights from none other than Bitcoin’s mysterious creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, in his dreams. Pippen predicted Bitcoin would hit $84,000 by early November—a forecast that proved eerily accurate.
Former Binance CEO Issues Bitcoin Supply Warning; Michael Saylor Weighs In
Changpeng Zhao (CZ), former CEO of Binance, issued a stark reminder about Bitcoin’s finite supply. Posting on X, CZ highlighted that Bitcoin's total supply is capped at 21 million coins, as dictated by its creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. With approximately 19.8 million Bitcoins already mined, CZ noted the remaining supply is dwindling. He emphasized this scarcity, concluding his post with, “Controlled by math.”
Michael Saylor, the founder of MicroStrategy and an ardent Bitcoin supporter, responded to CZ’s warning with a simple yet impactful comment: “Running (out of) #Bitcoin.”
Saylor’s response came shortly after MicroStrategy announced its latest Bitcoin acquisition: a massive purchase of 21,550 BTC for $2.1 billion. This addition brings the company’s total Bitcoin holdings to an impressive 423,650 coins, valued at over $41 billion.
Massive SHIB Transaction: Whale Acquires 144.5 Billion Tokens in One Hour
In a striking development, a prominent cryptocurrency whale recently bought nearly 150 billion Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens, according to a report from the Spotonchain X account. This whale, known for previous profitable SHIB trades, appears to be making another strategic play.
The investor also acquired several hundred billion PEPE tokens and half a million NEIRO tokens, spending a total of $12.8 million in DAI stablecoins across nine digital wallets. Remarkably, the entire transaction occurred within an hour. Despite this significant purchase, the whale retains over $7 million in DAI, signaling the potential for further activity.
Notably, this isn’t the whale’s first major move. Earlier this year, they sold 533.6 billion SHIB, earning $8.24 million in less than a month—a testament to their calculated trading strategies.
